Once you have tried the Yumm Sauce, you will never go back. This restaurant was created with the intent to provide healthy meals for the owner's own family. It spread from there! What you would order is a Yumm Bowl. That is the place to start. You have rice, red beans, Yumm Sauce, cheese, salsa, avocado, olives, cilantro and sour cream! It is so yummy and filling! A perfect workday lunch, or really any time! I love buying the sauce to use at home. It is excellent on salads, sandwiches and I mostly use it as a sauce on rice as a side dish to chicken, fish or beef! I love this restaurant, I am so proud of them for being local and provide such quality!
Cafe Yumm offers a number of different Yumm Bowls, their specialty. The dish is rice and beans with their own sauce, topped with cheese and veggies. A small bowl and a drink (great size for lunch) is $6. It is faster than fast food at times, but healthy and much tastier. The sauce is a lemon garlic basil sauce, aka delicious! The different locations vary in service, however, and my favorites are the ones in springfield, surprisingly. They also offer vegan versions of bowls, as well as tempeh, tofu, and vegan cookies.
