Benjy's couldn't be worse (or better) for the people watching in Houston -- I guess it depends if you are one of the young, rich, and famous there -- but much of the food couldn't be better.
They have a bar, intimate lighting with an interesting arrangement of mirrors, and a great little upstairs area for private parties.
If you are vegetarian, DEFINITELY get the agadashi tofu. It's awesome -- the combination of flavors couldn't be better. If you are a meateater, get anything else; sometimes they have special game options -- and their fish option is usually pretty dynamite.
I have been to BJ Wentkers many times and each and everytime is just as good or even better than the time before! Fantastic food, fantastic service and a fantastic atmosphere! Your mouth and stomache will truly thank you for the visit. I'm talking real chef cuisine here, pricey but oh so worth it!
