I don't go in for places that have the intimate lighting and decor that is always a Houston's feature, but the food and service are bar-none amazing for the price.
The menu features pretty abbreviated items (like 'brownie', or 'veggie burger'), but practically everything on the menu is some of the BEST of that type of food in town. Both of those examples, actually -- the brownie and the veggie burger -- are awesome.
The sides that come with many meals are also great. Definitely get the black beans if you can; they are RIDICULOUSLY bad for you, but AMAZING. (They have chocolate in them.)
Anyway, enjoy the experience. It's awfully hard to get their quality of service at a 12-30 dollar price tag per entree. (And don't forget their wine list. The markup is far from the worst, and the pairings are often excellent as well.)
I used to work for the Culvers in Colorado Springs (South) and I can say that even just being an employee the food was great there and this place is even great here in Iowa! Culvers Rocks!
