I wanted to do something special for my girlfriend, and she really likes to eat at different places, and to try new things . . . so . . . we went to Mark's. The service was excellent. The waiter was acutely attentive, but he was never intrusive. We went on a Saturday night and we were never rushed. In fact, it was just the opposite. We felt like we could have stayed much longer without question. The food was outstanding and we loved the fact that the chef tried new ideas and combinations, which all worked perfectly together. The portions were enormous!!! Yes, it is a bit pricey, but that is what we expected, and it wasn't sticker shock either. The ambiance of the old church and the layout of the restaurant was very appealing as well. I do wish the tables had a little more space between them though. We also wished that the lighting had been a little better too. All-in-all I would highly recommend Mark's to anyone for any reason, and yes, we will be going again in the very near future!
