The first time I ate at the Melting Pot I burnt my tongue on the cheese fondue, which was the appetizer. Needless to say, I was a little angry that I paid for a meal that I couldn't taste, but I was determined to be careful the next time. Since that first time I have been pleasantly surprised at how good the food here is. I recommend the surf and turf, and company that loves to laugh.

We always come to the Melting Pot for the chocolate fondue after a dinner out. It is great here! We got the chocolate and peanut butter fondue mix. The server was very attentive and even joked around with us a lot. They give you a multitude of items to dip into the chocolate. They let you bring your own extras too which is great. We brought a couple bananas so we could dip those too. While it is slightly pricey for a group dessert, it is definitely worth it. It is a great thing to do on a date in Orange County.

Eating at the Melting Pot is all about the experience. None of the food is spectacular but enjoying a full 3 course fondue meal is a treat. They have great variety of dipping items for each of the courses. The cheese based appetizer was pretty good as was the meat selection that came as entree. My favorite though was dessert. They have a great variety of chocolate mixtures to dip the dessert (brownies, rice krispy squares, etc) in. The quality of any individual item though left something to be desired with fairly poor quality items. Once dipped in chocolate though this is not as noticeable. The staff is excellent and attentive rounding out what is an experience based meal. This is the type of place I'd go to for special events once a year or so but not any everyday type of place.
