I have never been better taken care of at a restaurant than at Bluestem. First off, when I made reservations they asked if anyone in the party had any allergies, which my significant other does. They altered the meal options in their rotating menu that night specifically so we could avoid meals with nuts in them. So the evening started off great- it would get better.
We each had the 7-course meal with some of the plates range from tiny to substantial. We also had the wine pairings for each course. I would say 5 of the 7 plates were amazing, 1 was great, and the other was good. My fiance and I still talk about the meal we had here even though it was more than six months ago. We had sweetbreads that were so good I didn't even care what a sweetbread really is. We had a tomato bisque served in a shot-glass type glass that was amazing. From seafoods to meats everything that touched our plate was devoured.
We left here stuffed and happy.
The prices make this place a special occasion only kind of place. Our meal with tip was around $350. But it was worth it.
