Growing up in KC, the Bristol was always an institution on the Plaza. However, about 15 years ago they headed out to the burbs. They finally returned to Kansas City in the new Power & Light entertainment district, and it is definitely BACK!
While the Bristol focuses on seafood their 20 or so entrees also has some off the best cuts of meat in the city. But if you only go to the Bristol one time, you should always stick with the seafood. They have serve about 10 different kinds of grilled fresh fish on the menu that changes daily, in addition to their regular entrees. Their entrees include scallops, shrimp, and crab cakes that are memorably good. This restaurant has a lofty standard with seafood, and in 5 or so trips I have yet to have anything close to an average meal.
If you can get past the price, you will not be disappointed. It was like this restaurant never left.
