Gateway to India is a very enjoyable restaurant. The couple who owns and runs it are unfailingly friendly and welcoming. It's clear that Gateway has moderated the seasoning level of its food to make it more appealing to the bland Central Illinois palate, but they have retained the essential flavorings.
