RUN - don't walk! The best darn chicken and down home cookin' you're going to get. Compliment that with Stroud's one-of-a-kind atmosphere (on a rambling waterside ranch) - and you've got a dining experience that can't be beat in KC.
You will feel sick after you leave, not because of bad food, but because you ate too much good food. You get a huge amount of fried or baked chicken, mashed potatoes, veggies, dinner rolls etc. You will probably have to wait a long time to be seated, and the restaurant is small and crowded, but the food makes it all worth it!
I haven't been to the one on Cooper St., but the one on Camp Bowie in Fort Worth is EXCELLENT!!!!!!! Great prices, great service, great food. (I like the Sour Cream Chicken Enchiladas.)
