I love this place. First and foremost it is GORGEOUS! For a storefront restaurant in a shopping development it is so much more than you would have expected. The interior is very rich and elegant with no piece left undecorated...even the ceiling has these amazing wooden rings.
As soon as you walk up to the door (before you even go inside) you can smell the incredible Indian spices and scents coming out.
We usually go for the lunch buffet, although I have been for dinner once.
The buffet usually has lamb, beef, and chicken as well as several vegetarian sides. The rice is even good, fluffy with separate grains instead of clumping together. I alwasy eat too much!
The buffet includes masala chai and a hot soup. I've been lucky enough twice to go when they have the coconut soup on the buffet. This is incredible, made with coconut milk, ginger, and some other seasonings I can't identify. All I know is it is incredibly complex. When you drink it you taste so many layers of flavor,
I have never taken anyone there who wasn't an instant convert!
The servers are great, and they often bring fresh hot bread, or meats out to the table rather than making you go up to the buffet.
The lunch buffet is nice for those not familiar with all the indian dishes. You can sample some of the different dishes and see what you like.
