No bbq places get good reviews by food critics here. But, Goode has to be the best. I am from Houston and have eaten bbq all over this state and many others. Some give you more meat, some give you bigger potatos but noone has jalapeno bread like this and the flavor of the meat is as good as it gets. You will pay a little more here but I love the atmosphere and I like being here around hunting season and visiting the shops close by. This is the place to take your out of town friends. You can buy them gifts in the gift shop and not be embarassed. Hints: They never give you enough sauce and their sauce is excellent. Ask and you will get more!!! Next, get the jalapeno bread and brisket sandwich, open it up and have plenty of meat for two people. Don't forget the extra sauce, though, and maybe a side of jambalaya. Yummm!
