A few years ago China Grill was a great restaurant with exceptional service. I recently went back expecting the same and got the opposite. I was at China Grill with a group of six so we ordered a many different items off the menu to share. (It was early so the restaurant was not busy) I was running late so when I arrived the table had already started drinking. It took the server about 15 minutes to notice a new person had arrived and ask me if I would like a drink, then after he finally asked he forgot to order it. So I had to ask twice just for my first drink. Then when the food finally came up he had mixed up some of what we ordered with the only other table in the restaurants order. He brought out duck fried rice instead of two other things we had ordered. Then he said to use o its ok I wont charge you for it, as if we were going to pay for his mistake, he made it seem like he was doing us a favor. Even though we had to wait for what we really had ordered. For the class of restaurant China Grill is trying to be rookie mistakes like this should not be happening, I think it has gone down hill in the past years and is overpriced. They should also consider some refresher trainind classes for the wait staff. I will not be going back, the food is ok but I would rather go somewhere with great food and even better service.
