I guess italian is not really the best thing in new orleans. Although the place is nice, and well decorated. The selection is just okay, and so is the food. Nothing special. I had the fettutine alfredo with shrimp which did not impress me. Extremely expensive for just okay food.
4 Stars - Service could be better, but once the server understands what you're ordering (often by going back and bringing the chef out to translate), the food is excellent. Despite the service, the meals are enough to keep me coming back.
This is one of the most quaint, romantic, VERY Italian Restaurants in LOUISIANA ! Very authentic atmosphere AND food. We drive 180 miles round trip to eat here and we LOVE it. The neighborhood is very nice if you have to walk a ways for parking but it's well worth the walk. A trip to New Orleans without eating at Vincent's on St. Charles is just another ride to a busy city. Vincent's makes it like a VACATION !
