food

i wish i never did. We eat out a lot, and expect good service, and good food...

ambiance

And inhospitable. I think I may have listened to an entire aria before the young lady came back on the phone after asking me to wait for a minute...

service

Food wise my only disappointment was not to have had the pasta tasting menu, but you need too . It's a service thing, I get it, but frankly ridiculous...

value

Happy we went, but most likely won't go back. On to the next...

menu

We were interested in a tasting menu (there was so much delicious looking food on the menu, we couldn't choose!) Our waiter recommended - rather than try any of the published tasting menus - that we do an a la carte tasting - in which we can choose any combination of dishes we like...

early

Upon walking in we were greeted by the ma. Though we were about 20 mins early for our reservation we were escorted to our table as soon as we walked in...

ravioli

The ricotta spread over the baguette slice was so creamy and delish! When the pumpkin ravioli arrived our waiter grated an amaretti cookie over the entire dish, which was the perfect compliment to the light sauce...

I'll just tell you I am a huge gourmet. So... Recently, I ate at Babbo in New York City. I'm from Dallas though previously been to NY a number of instances. I really like the variation of establishments. Wait staff at this particular restaurant incredibly nice! The food was excellent. Now the superior quality together with amount of food seemed to be to fine. Even though virtually no genuine complaints. From the Two apps -n- 2 main courses we ordered, I'd personally rate 3 as great & 1 as really decent Outstanding food! Me and my friend had a terrific night! So refreshing with there being lots of Manhattan dining places that are poor. Also was to experience a NYC dining place without an excessive amount attitude. Go today ahead of the media hype becomes ridiculous. We definitely will be soon.

OSTERIA MOZZA IS BATALI'S EQUIVALENT IN L.A.- THE GRILLED OCTOPUS WAS HANDS DOWN EVERYONE'S FAVORITE OF THE EVENING, AMAZING! WE FOLLOWED THAT WITH THE FRESH RICOTTA AND EGG RAVIOLO WHICH CAME IN A CLOSE SECOND FOR THE EVENING, O.M.G., IF YOU LIKE BUTTER! INCREDIBLE! WE ALSO ORDERED A FEW ITEMS FROM THE MOZZARELLA BAR, FRESH! AS FOR THE MEATS, THEY WERE GOOD BUT NOT GREAT. FINALLY, WE FINISHED UP WITH THE TORTA DELLA NONNA. NOT TOO SWEET, JUST RIGHT!

The pasta tasting menu with their recommended wine pairings is one of the best meals I've ever eaten!
