I was leery when my friends told me to go to Basta Pasta. I was thinking it was going to be an OG type of place. I was completely wrong. The open kitchen, the steamed mushrooms, the huge parmesan...I have never had a better Italian meal. That could have to do with a very slight asian influence. GO THERE, YOU WILL THANK ME!!!

I've been going to Basta Pasta for 3 years. I know the waiters, I know the bar tenders, I know the owner- they are unlike any staff you will come in contact with.
I have had most things on the menu and I am never disappointed. Multiple trips are required per year because the menu changes with the change of the season.
You might not always know what to make of the decor, but the place is always packed with happy guests from near and far and that is what makes this place special. -

My dinner at Basta Pasta was a wonderful experience. Well... Recently, on a trip I ate at Basta Pasta in New York City. I'm orginally from Boston however have been to New York City a bunch of occasions. My family and I love the variation of establishments. I thought Basta Pasta to generally be polished entirely, from the decoration through the presentation. The staff at the restaurant amazingly great!The space is modern and somewhat lovely. The vibe was fantastic. The the level of quality together with quantity of food was basically superb. Even though no true issues. Of the two or 3 appetizers -n- 2 entrees we ordered, I would rate 3 as fantastic and 1 as really good All in all Amazing food! The price was what we all anticipated although perhaps a couple of dollars too overpriced. We all had a wonderful night! So refreshing since there are lots of NY dining establishments that are terrible. Also was to experience a NYC eating place with out too much attitude. Experience this right now ahead of the news becomes insane.
