It's true - the enchiladas are quite big. But that doesn't stop them from suffering the same fate as all Mexican food in NYC. In other words - mediocre. But...they are big. That much they have going for them. The place seems to be popular with the college crowd, but I've never found it to be too crowded. I can't really say I enjoyed my enchilada very much, but I did come back again. The food is not spicy, but that can be remedied with the tabasco sauce found on the tables. I've been there maybe 3 times now, mostly because if I am in the area and hungry, it's quick and average-priced. I like my portions big, and if nothing else, it fills me up. But don't expect anything great. The service is almost nonexistent - you pick up your food from the counter, and that's it. I've had them screw up my order once, which gives it some negative points. The decor is also nonexistent, and the only distraction is to watch the people on the street. Tables are too small to seriously accommodate more than 3 people, so don't bring a crowd. In conclusion, I would recommend the burrito over the enchilada any day. Also, don't eat their desserts.
I Ate:
- A big chicken enchilada: Nothing special, not terribly spicy or tasty, but it was big ($7)
