If you are looking to experience Mexican culture via food, Cafe Frida is definitely the place for you. I love queso fundido with huitalacoche, it was really awesome. The service is nice and the place is cool. I love it. I will bring my friends here, nice place to just hang out and chill.

Cafe Frida, at Columbus Ave., and their new addition at Amsterdam Ave., is an unimpressive and boring restaurant, that lacks the rich flavors and spirit of Mexican food.
As for the service, it doesn't help at all to improve the ratings, and the sanitary conditions are questionable as well.I Ate:

Well... Last Week I visited Cafe Frida in Manhattan. I found Cafe Frida as polished all the way up, from the design through the appearance. Wait staff at this particular restaurant incredibly pleasant! The room is clean and pretty. The evening was outstanding. Even though no real complaints. From the two or 3 appetizers -n- 2 entrees we ordered, I probably would say 3 as great and just one as really okay All in all Amazing food! Also was to experience NYC restaurant not having excessive attitude.
