About Flute Midtown

Flute Midtown is an intimate cocktail Champagne lounge located in the heart of midtown Manhattan on 54th Street and Broadway. It offers a full bar and finger food as well as a 100 Champagnes by the bottle and 25 by the glass. Live jazz is every Wednesday night from 8 to 11pm and DJťs are spinning from Thursday to Saturday. Flute Midtown was a famous speakeasy in 1928-1929, knwn then as "Club Intime" and run then by the legendary Texas Guinan. This is probably why the New York Times has named Flute Midtown "the speakeasy made new." This lounge was also voted "Best wine bar in the nation" in 2010 by NCB!

I recently took a trip to New York with my girlfriends and we meet some pretty cool guys at the Natural History Museum. We ended up grabbing a drink with them down in midtown at Flute and what a nice place. It feel like one of those old New England enclave places. Very different then Time Square. We grab a couple of nice glass of champagne (nicely priced) and we had some fun. They had someone playing the trumpet. So combination of Jazz, some champagne, the candlelight and our dates we had a wonderful time. I'd definitly say this is A1 romantic place.
