About Grotta Azzurra

Founded in 1908 by the Davin family Grotta Azzurra was named for the blue grotto on the isle of Capri and designed to evoke the beauty of one of the worlds most famous caves in the world, intensified.

Enrico Caruso feasted here after performances, and Sinatra called it his one and only favorite Italian restaurant, making it the site of many a �Rat Pack� evening.

Shuttered for six years, Grotta Azzurra has nw been stunningly renvated and rebirthed by a descendant renaissance for dining in Little Italy, with multi-talented chef Frank Castellana recreating the finest in Italian Cuisine.

My dinner in Grotta Azzurra was clearly awesome experience. Let me just say I'm a huge gourmand. How to begin? Yesterday I ate at Grotta Azzurra in NYC. I thought Grotta Azzurra turn out to be tasteful all the way up, from the decor through the presentation. The staff at the restaurant was very awesome!The room is sleek and lovely. The decor was superb. The order showed up extremely fast. Amazing food! The price was basically just what we estimated though perhaps a couple of $ overly overpriced. Me and my wife had a wonderful evening! So refreshing since there are a lot of NYC dining establishments that are unhealthy. I'm a huge fan of the place. We will be back again soon.
