Normally, I'd scoff at the idea of going to a restaurant to cook my own food...but Gyu-Kaku has a grill at every table & since you're doing the grilling, you can grill their choice cuts of meats just to your liking & add any of a myriad of marinates to 'em. There's other dishes that are cooked by the chefs & a great selection of cocktails (with an ambiance reminiscent of the big hall where Uma Thurman's character slayed many bad guys in "Kill Bill"), but it's really all about the meats - they're on your table within seconds of ordering them & they melt in your mouth when you eat them. One of my favorite restaurants in NYC (& trust me...I know NYC restaurants!)

The dining event at Gyu-Kaku was really a wonderful experience. So... Recently, on a vacation I ate at Gyu-Kaku in Manhattan. Now I am from Australia however previously been to N.Y. a number of occasions. My spouse and I love the great number of dining establishments. I thought Gyu-Kaku to be chic all the way up, from decoration through the appearance. Service in that restaurant extremely awesome!The room is sleek and somewhat lovely. The food was superb. The entrees arrived very quick. The high quality in addition to amount of food was basically very good. Even though virtually no genuine complaints. Of the Two apps 2 main courses we ordered, I would personally rate 3 as remarkable just one as very okay We definitely will be soon.
