About Lumi

Opened in April 1995, Lumi features Mediterranean-influenced Tuscan cuisine served in a charming townhouse setting on Manhattans Upper East Side. Acclaimed Executive Chef Pin Luongo's expertly crafted menu offers dishes based on his culinary genius coupled with his passion for the finest food of Tuscany. Original European and American paintings from the 19th and early 20th centuries, banquettes, and sleek sconces on taupe walls in the main dining room create a chic, sophisticated yet warm atmosphere. The elegant upstairs dining room is a gem of old New York: its high ceilings, antique chandeliers, fireplace with a striking mantle piece, bay windows and silk taffeta curtains, evoke romance. Framed by wrap-around windows, the dining room adjacent to the bar provides additional seating at banquettes surrounding a marble fireplace. Lunch and dinner are also served at the full-service bar. April - nvember, guests can enjoy meals at Lumis lovely outdoor cafe.

Hit up Lumi today for a lunch meeting. Cute place. Very old school NY-Italian. Pleasantly surprised at their lunch special prices. I had a nice lentil soup for under $10. Their wine list needs some work. Concha y Toro at $10 BTG (I think you can get a mag of CT for about $10). Outside of the wine list, I'd return to try out some other dishes.

    I Ate:

    • Lentil Soup: nice ($9)
