“...Outstanding wine list! Potato tart melts in your mouth, the duck confit meatloaf was terrific too, but the homerun was the baked pomme tart topped with cinnamon icecream! YUM!... |

This was my 3rd visit to Nice Matin. Good things are outdoor seating, great mussels, great wines and decent prices (for NYC). The service depends on who is taking care of your. I've had excellent service and sub par service.
I Ate:
- Moules Provencal: Great ($16)
- Creoque Madame: Huge ($14)

Did Nice Matin for restaurant week today. It's not the first time I've been there (I think this is my 4th time). For $25 bucks I had a great meal. Started off with a glass of Lucien Albrecht Cremant Rose. We paid $12 for it, which is fair for a restaurant. For my three choices I went with the scallops for my first course, Sole almondine for the main course and the bread pudding for dessert. The scallops were nice, a bit too chewy for my taste, but good none the less. The sole was impeccable. Moist and flaky, clean fresh flavors and the wine sauce went perfectly with the grapes that enhanced the flavors of the dish. The bread pudding was killer; not too sweet and just delectable enough.
I Ate:
- Restaurant Week Lunch: Great ($24)
