About Ofrenda

Chef-owner Luis Arce Mota brings years of skill, experience and ambition to the kitchen of Ofrenda where it is his goal to showcase his Mexican roots, offering home-style Mexican cooking, and demonstrating the complexity and subtlety of Mexican cuisine. Ofrenda is Spanish for 'offering', and what Chef Mota offers guests at Ofrenda is a new interpretation of authentic Mexican flavors and dishes, prepared with a healthy disrespect for culinary boundaries. This hip yet unpretentious restaurant and bar located in the heart of the West Village specializes in creative Mexican food inspired by Chef Mota's diverse past: from his childhood growing up in coastal Mexico, to his formal culinary education. Complemented by partner Jorge Guzmans innvative cocktail menu--along with a bar stocked with both wines and high-end tequilas--Ofrenda will surely provide a unique dining experience.
