Ottomanelli is a favorite local restaurant. It’s very small, but the food is good and the service is fast and friendly. On my latest visit, I had the Caesar salad which was extremely fresh and well seasoned. (They make it without raw eggs!) I followed that with a dish of chicken marsala which came topped with lots of mushrooms, just the way I like it. I ordered the mixed vegetables on the side instead of the usual spaghetti. They were cooked al dente and again were outstandingly fresh. The agony here is choosing a dessert. They serve a tiramisu to die for, an excellent Italian cheesecake, and a luscious iced carrot cake. I had the cake, and was delighted as usual. The salad cost $6.95, the chicken cost $11.95, and the cake cost $3.75. The total was therefore $22.65 before tax and tip.
