Peasant is amazing. Really, really good. Wanna go? Take me with you. Never mind that the menu is all in Italian... just order whatever sounds musically attractive, and then be surprised... or maybe make the waitperson translate until you know what you want. It doesn't matter, whatever it is will be pretty damn wonderful. I ate: (or at least tasted) Broiled Sardines, Beet Salad, Roast Suckling Pig. Pumpkin Chanterelle Risotto, Roast Lamb, Bread Pudding... all really good, REALLY GOOD.

Now let me start by mentioning I normally tend not to critique restaurants. I'll just tell you I am a a huge foody. So... Recently, I ate at Peasant in New York. Now I am from Miami although previously been to NY a number of instances. My partner and I absolutely adore the distinctiveness of restaurants. I discovered Peasant to be polished all the way, from the environment through the presentation. Good job on a pleasant and joyful mealWait staff at this restaurant was extremely pleasant! The hospitality was outstanding. The entrees showed up quickly. Even though no real complaints. From the two or 3 starter items and 2 entrees we ordered, I probably would say 3 as remarkable and One as extremely decent We had a great evening! So refreshing since there are a lot of Manhattan dining establishments that are terrible. Also was to experience NYC eating place without having a lot of demeanor. I am a huge lover of the place. We will be back again soon.
