About Son Cubano

Son Cuban epitomizes 1950's Cuban retro-glamour. Chandeliers, mosaic tile walls, folk- art paintings, and vintage photographs decorate the room. Exotic tropical flowers and candles give the restaurant a sultry, sexy mood. The live Latin music Monday through Saturday always draws a very fashionable crowd. It is all the tropical romance, festivity, and flavor of Cuba in a downtown urban setting. Son Cuban offers an extensive list of tapas as well as a full-service dinner. Our cuisine is nstalgic Caribbean home cooking - aromatic and flavorful with ntes of garlic, onion, red pepper, and white wine. One of our signature dishes is Ropa Vieja - shredded flank steak in a tomato sauce with green olives, served with sweet plantains and white rice. Our chef also creates modern-tropical interpretations of Cuban dishes that would satisfy the most sophisticated urban palette.

The dining event at Son Cubano has been a excellent experience. Yesterday I ate at Son Cubano in Manhattan. I happen to be orginally from Jersey but have actually been to New York a bunch of instances. My partner and I love the diversity of eateries. I thought Son Cubano turn out to be tasteful entirely, from decoration through the appearance. The staff at the restaurant was so awesome! The space is clean and somewhat lovely. The food was exceptional. The order came out very fast. Certainly one of our problems had been the preso wasn't that remarkable. The look was fine and yet didn't give you that "wow" vibe. Regardless of that no true issues. We had a excellent evening! So refreshing because there are so many New York City restaurants that are unhealthy. Also was to visit a NYC restaurant without having an excessive amount of demeanor. Visit today before the publicity becomes insane.
