food

β€œ...and the tamarind margaritas! felt like a good part of my fun years in NYC were spent at the bread bar or outside under the portico with some cocktails and na'an! Good times!...

ambiance

β€œ...The service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. The small plates came in a timely stream so that the table was not crowded, but there was alway...

service

β€œ... I heard raving reviews and i took my staff to celebrate. The service was very slow and food a bit disappointing...

value

β€œ...I was a bit disappointed with the food and also the quality. I heard raving reviews and i took my staff to celebrate...

menu

β€œ... The tasting menu is very interesting and everything is delicious! Sometimes the service is a little slow but I actually don?t mind it because it gives me time to enjoy my conversation without feeling rushed...

curry

β€œ... Take roast chicken, to which a cumin jus and anise notes lend uncommon panache; or surreally succulent lamb enlivened by acutely tuned fruity curry flavor...

flavors

β€œ... Cannot call it Indian but definitely had some Indian accents. I would recommend adding a bit more kick to the flavors...

Tabla serves fusion Indian cuisine. The Bread Bar downstairs is my favorite spot. The space is truly wonderful -- it is a creatively renovated bank, covered with colorful tile work, with a high ceiling and a hole cut into it so that upstairs and downstairs meld. The food and drink are delicious. Lighter than typical Indian fare with a true innovator's sense of adventure when approaching old standard dishes. I can't say that I have ever had anything that I did not thoroughly enjoy. One of my favorite drinks there is a ginger martini with blood orange...really terrific.

So allow me to begin with saying I typically don't give my opinon on places. So... Recently, I visited Tabla in Manhattan. I happen to be from Toronto however previously been to New York a ton of times. My partner and I absolutely adore the variety of bistros. I thought Tabla to generally be stylish completely, through the decor through the appearance. Precisely comforting and enjoyable dinnerWait staff at the restaurant was so pleasant! The dining room is modern and lovely. The hospitality was remarkable. Certainly one of my personal things had been the preso was not that amazing. The idea was good though did not ensure that you get that amaze element. Regardless of that no true issues. Excellent food! Also was to experience NYC establishment with out an excessive amount attitude. I am a big fan of the place. Experience this now prior to when the buzz becomes crazy.
