User Reviews for Tao

food

“... Chaotically busy from the start, and not packed with the crowd that I do not necessarily enjoy (the lethal combination of tourists, rich new yorkers' kids' birthday parties, bachelorette parties, and people who just think that spending money will given them good food)...

ambiance

“...I wish there was more matter to Tao, but the fact remains that its an overpriced overhyped midtown mess. Chaotically busy from the start, and not packe...

service

“...The food at tao is terrible! its awful, service is bad, everything is awful. The environment is cool...

value

“... Aga. Between these two experiences, it is obvious to me that management doesnt respect their guests' knowledge of food, value, or overall common sense...

restaurant

“... Having seen the Vegas outpost, and being impressed with the sheer scale of it all (as well as its places as the top grossing "restaurant" in the country - likely an honor bestowed upon the Vegas version thanks to late night drinks), I thought it might be worth a try in new york...

bar

“... they apologized and gave us an 8p. We got there at 7:45 and they said it would be a short wait and to wait by the bar (but I could see empty tables!)...

seated

“... We were seated right in front of the big budda! What a gorgeous view. The restaurant week choices were outstanding - the quality, quantity and present...

Dined with a large group before a play at Berk Rep. The service was very good however, the food definitely lacked attention. The pasta dish I'd ordered was angel hair with lemon, wine and chicken. I was suprised the chicken used was thigh meat and the taste of the light sauce on the pasta was poorly concocted - flavors did not blend well. We'd ordered the bruschetta which was very flavorful. I wouldn't dine at this restaurant in the future.
