Great service for this midtown restaurant. Had their grilled baby back ribs, nice spicy kick, a bit messy, but if you like to get your hands dirty it's worth it. Also had the Chun Chon Mak Guk Soo, we were warned by our server Jin (as in Gin & Tonic) that most non-Koreans did not like the dish. We took the warning in and decided to order anyway. It was a chilled soup, topped with a hard boiled egg. The flavors worked. I can see how most people may be scared off by the dish, cold soup, ice, kimchi-like flavors. But small surprises such as a slice of pear bring a nice flavor to the tongue. One suggestion is to decrease the amount of ice to the dish, but it is something to try as a new experience. Next time we go, we will try more typical dishes, maybe the Bulgogi. For now, I definitely suggest this Korean centerpiece of NY. "One great tip, it's on a thru-street...so if you are coming in from NJ, it's a great stop. Parking is ok after 9pm".
