Jonah Schimmels is a piece of lower east side history. It has classic jewish knishes, a great bakery selections of cookies and other treats, and delicious soups. Everything is tasty and extremely cheap. It is a family run business...everyone there is superbly friendly. A must-see in the lower east side!
