I was quite surprised at the bad ratings for this place because it was always been a good place to hang out and eat for me and my friends.
The best quality I would say about this place is that you give you a lot of bang for your buck if you order the margaritas. I marvel at how much alcohol they give you for seven bucks. Definitely a plus when you are broke and want to get hammered on a Saturday night.
As for the food, I'm not a fan of the boneless buffalo wings or the nachos, but the onion rings and the veggie pizza are pretty good. I normally don't eat too many entrees at Applebee's but from what I have seen my friends eat, I can't say it's too bad.
Service can either be really good or really bad. I had waitresses who were excellent while others who needed a kick in the face.
But overall, I like this place as it is a great hangout spot on the weekends.
