It was the first meeting of my boyfriend's mother and I so the place of choice for dinner bore the weight of needing to be perfect.
Being an avid foodie, and also health concious, I decided on Seasons 52.
The name is derived from there being 52 weeks in a year, and the menu at this locale differs from week to week in order to maintain a fresh appeal to local diners.
The wait staff is splendidly knowledgeable in their offereings, as well as more than capable of pairing each course with the restaurants wide selection of award winning wines.
And while the atmosphere and ambience of the place whispers expensive, the menu is moderatley priced with a wonderful variety of items.
Flat bread is a must, and I highly reccommend the cedar plank salmon served on the plank itself which imparts a wonderful smokey flavor to the fish.
The structure of the menu is commendable in that none of the meals are over 450 calories, but flavor is not sacrificed to do so.
Deserts are small, and served in "tasting" portions, so you don't feel like you are over indulging, and it gives the diner the opportunity to try an array of treats rather than being limited to just one giant guilty pleasure.
All in all, I highly reccomend this restaurant, it did not dissapoint in any fashion.
Also, an added bonus is that there is a live pianoman in the bar area, and setteling in for a few glasses of equisit wine is more than encouraged.
