Burrito Express has a bunch of signature burritos (e.g. a high carb Lance Ito, a three-meat Ross Perot). I went for the JVC, spicy with shredded beef. It was a large burrito with refried beans, tomato, lettuce, olives, onions, cilantro, sour cream, and guacamole, wrapped in multiple tortillas (because of its size). The ingredients were all there, and of high quality, but it was hard to find much flavor. A burrito isn't a watercress sandwich. I want it to grab me by the tongue and teach me a thing or two. This one was just a quiet and well-mannered lunch companion. I guess nobody goes to Pasadena for ethnic character.
It is a clean place on a nice corner with a couple of inside tables, and a lovely shaded patio. If I wanted to introduce some easily frightened friends to a sincere, wholesome burrito, this is where I would take them.

best burrito place in panama city, doesnt say much though. much better than qdoba or however you spell it.
