Where else can you go and find 3 pages of ice cream treats and only half a page of regular food??? This is one of my favorite places, especially after a Suns game, but I would skip the "real" food. They don't have a full kitchen, so you're limited to soup and sandwiches. The real attraction is the ice cream. They even have a drive-thru to satisfy your sweet tooth on the run. If you have a birthday coming up, try The Hill- 4 full pounds of ice cream served on a pizza tray with 2 toppings and whipped cream!!! OMG!!! Although it moved from it's original location years ago, it still maintains that '50's charm.
I've been going to Mobo for over 15 years and I think they've gotten too big for their britches. My favorite item was the hot box and they have raised the price nearly $5 over the last 3 years. In fact all of their prices have gone up considerably. I think they figure they'll get the UCSC crowd and can charge more. Don't get me wrong, the sushi is good but it's not great and not at their new inflated prices. Hence my 3 star review. Takara and the nearby I love Sushi are much better.
