User Reviews for Native New Yorker
I consider myself a wing conneisure. If you've had one wing somewhere, chances are that I've had twenty of the same. You name it, I've tried it. Jerk wings, parmesan wings, cajun wings, jalapeno jelly wings, ect. When I was young and naive, Sardella's was the place to go for wings. Now that I've matured and have had many a wing sauce touch this palette, I still haven't had better than Native New Yorker.
An average batch of wings from Native is excellent, but when you get a "good" batch.. not a single word in the english dictionary can describe it.
Crispy, crunchy, saucy and wing perfectionism as we know it! I've even tried the more zany flavors such as Strawberry Hot, Honey mustard and Raspberry Chipotle. Though not as tasty as the "Hot", these other varieties of flavors are for the more adventurous diner.
The atmosphere is of a sports bar. Fake brick line the walls for a "back alley" atmosphere. There is usually a sporting even blasting through one of the many TVs strategically located throughout the dining area and bar. You can basically catch the game no matter which table you're sitting at. If you have a little extra change, a few arcade classics reside by the door. The service can sometimes be slow when a lot of people flock to the same location at the same time, but the wait is worth it. If you're into wings, that is.
The burgers are always enjoyable. The pasta.. not so much. For a New York style eatery, the pasta isn't up to my standards but again, I don't go there for pasta. I go there for wings!
..and pizza. The Pizza is some of the best you can get in town, featuring a buffalo chicken pizza and a "garbage" pizza with all of your favorite toppings.
I've had them far and wide.
I've had them hot.
I've had them mild.
I've had them strange.
Native New Yorker's wings are something not to be passed up by a "true" wing lover.
FOOD IS GOOD, BUT THERE HAS BEEN SEVERAL TIMES THAT WE HAVE GONE THERE AND THEY HAVE DECIDED TO CLOSE EARLY. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE OPEN UNTIL 9:00PM AND THEY HAVE CLOSED SEVERAL TIMES BY 8:30. WHEN YOU ADVERTISE YOUR HOURS, YOU SHOULD STICK TO IT AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE.
