Hey, they won the award for this for years now. I don't know who's judging the "best fish and chips", but they're spot on here. I lived in England for years and while nothing compares to the original, Seamus cooks up a good close second. The fish is lightly battered and not greasy. The chips (or fries) are crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Cheers!
It's a typical Irish-styled pub, the kind you can find in Ireland, actually. They (thankfully) left out much of the Americanization that can happen so often in Irish-American pubs, so it gives you an authentic feel. The servers can be hit or miss regards friendliness or competence, but who cares? They still manage to get you your food and drinks in a timely manner. After a few Guinnesses, you won't complain either.
Just note: the area can be a tad sketchy late at night, as downtown Phoenix tends to clear out after dark. On game nights, or event nights, you'll be fine. But just a reminder.
