Before I ever even moved to Portland, I had heard about Bush Gardens on the Food Network. They described it as the best Japanese restaurant in all of Portland. After trying out many Asian restaurants in Portland, I must disagree. While the decor is absolutely amazing, the food is bland and way too expensive. I have always gone for the vegetarian bento box. This includes salad, noodles, sushi, and other random vegetarian things. None of this is worth the price of the box. Still, the atmosphere is so great that I would definitely consider going back again.
This restaurant has great War Won Ton soup. It also has one of the best honey glazed walnut prawns you will ever find. I take a group out to a different restaurant every week. We range in size from 10 to 38 people each week. This is one of our groups favorite Chinese restaurants.
