This is one of my favorite places to eat lunch in Raleigh. The atmosphere is calm and the food is pretty good. I have some coworkers who don't like it, but if you like Italian you should be pretty happy here.
There can be a bit of a wait if you don't get there before the noon rush.
I am fortunate enough to live on Kauai and eat here on a regular basis. The bread is divine, the sandwich fixings are always fresh and pretty much everything is homemade (including their delicious chicken salad). I recommend the new Lobster Roll - real, huge chunks of lobster meat, light mayo, mushrooms and onions on a toasted roll. It doesn't get any better. But go early or phone in your order - otherwise you'll be waiting in line for a while.
