Although I'm not a huge fan of chains, I actually do find something appealing about California Pizza Kitchen. The fettuccini with garlic cream sauce and mushrooms is amazing, but likely extremely heavy on the fat, calories and carbs. This isn't the place to go if you're watching your weight. The menu items are all very indulgent. However, if you're not worried about going up a belt size, then this is definitely a place worth checking out. The thai chicken pizza looks amazing, even though I'm not a meat eater.
I wish I could afford the calories and the money to eat here every day. I absolutely love all of the different varieties of pizzas, pastas and breads. Not to mention the fabulous soup. You must leave room for dessert because the are decadent! Sandwiches are good and reasonably priced for lunch. I always prefer to have an appetizer and my favorite is the Thai Chicken. Excellent place to take the entire family. The also have a wonderful children's menu.
I must admit that the food here is pretty good. But it took over 2 hours for delivery, and I wasn't told in advance that it'd take that long. I called a few times and they kept telling me it was coming. I guess I just won't wait till Im hungry to order next time...
