Ernesto's doesn't really look like much from the street, but it is actually a great Mexican restaurant. It is a lot like Adalberto's or Carolina's, in that it is both a sit down and a drive-thru restaurant. It is open really late, but I don't think it's open 24 hours. They have a lot of authentic Mexican dishes, likes burritos, tacos, enchilladas, etc. It is right across the street from McClatchy High School, so watch out for the high school crowd. They have great horchata, and great chips and salsa. Good choice for quick mexican along freeport.
Ernesto's is the best Mexican resturant around Genoa and has the best margs around northwest Ohio
