I have eaten at Paesanos several times. The food and services are always superb. If you love italian food then you will definitely love this place. The decor is very inviting and they have a great outdoor eating area as well. They have a great selections of wines and sangria. I absolutely love this place! I have had several items off the menu, but my favorites are the baked pasta and the cheese tortellini. Both of these pastas are on the rich side, but they are so full of flavor. The backed pasta is made with mostly penne pasta, cream, meat, tomato and cheese. It is full of calories but definitely worth the splurge every now and then. The cheese tortelli can also be rich. It is made with cheese tortelli in a pesto cream sauce with sun dried tomatos. I really love to add shrimp to this dish for added flavor. If you want to go for something on the lighter side, the D-Angelo is a good choice. This is made with angel hair pasta, tomatos and herbs. You can also add shrimp, chicken or esparagus for added flavor. This restaurant is probably my favorite in sacramento, and now they have opened a location in Elk Grove. For a quicker meal, they also have Paesano Pronto downtown around 16th & P Streets.
