In addition to the normal chips and salsa, you also get free white cheese sauce. It may have a real name, all I know is that it is delicious and I could get full just eating white sauce. The service can sometimes be hit or miss - depends on your server. But the food is delicious!
In my opinion, this is the best Mexican food in San Diego. The enchiladas (particularly the suizas) are stellar, but it's the white sauce that makes the meal. It's a cheese/sour cream/jalapeño dipping sauce for your tortilla chips that words just can't do justice. You'll just have to try it yourself, and I highly recommend you do! Try their Coronado location for a nicer ambiance and a great place to take a date.
