I didn't even feel like I was in an urban city when I dined here. It is a small, intimate, dimly lit establishment with one waiter and one old french lady in the back whipping up all of the souffles herself. I was a little put off by how the waiter greeted us by blurting out "do you know what we serve here? do you know how this works? I guess they get alot of people coming in and expecting a full menu, but this place serves only souffles, both savory and sweet. Their souffles are meant for two people, so we shared the leek souffle which was perfect! All of their souffles come with guyere unless there is another type of cheese listed in the ingredient list. I don't think I would have liked having to many ingredients in the souffle and this was just enough, and so flavorful. They also have the warmest, crustiest bread I have every had, as it was very audible when we tore into it. My aunt got the bibb lettuce salad to start which was okay, but I got the cucumber salad which sounds boring but was definitely better then the bibb salad. It was sort of a cucumber carpaccio that just kept going around until it made a huge mound of thinly sliced cucumber in a citrusy vinagrette. I can't wait to go back one day and try her dessert souffles, but I would recommend sharing those with at least a party of 4.
