No matter what day of the week it is, you can expect a long wait at Emmy's. At least 45 minutes during the dinner rush. You can wait in the little dive bar next door and the servers will come get you. The menu changes on a regular basis and offers many vegetarian and vegan dishes, but the spaghetti is always on the menu. And the spaghetti is a must for first timers. A generous portion with or without meatballs for under $10. The sauce is so-so, but the meatballs more than make up for it in flavor and texture. True comfort food. Just remember to order the garlic bread, as it doesn't come with.
It's a little loud at times with the music and conversation. Dark and cozy, with an impressive wine list, it's a great place to bring a date. The servers are ultra-hip hotties that still manage to have the perfect balance of polite and responsive, yet detached service.
