There aren't many authentic pubs in the States, most 'Irish' establishments either being generic bars or over the top tributes to everything St. Patrick. Finn McCool's at least avoids those stereotypes, combining a fairly low-key interior with a good beer/wine selection, Irish bartenders, and decent food. Where it really excels though, is in being a great place for friends to meet around a big table to share a plate of chips and a few lagers. Careful with the chips, mind- it seems the garlic chips come with an entire bulb of garlic. Better to stick with the altogether safer (and delicious) curry chips. The drinks are a little pricey (7 dollars for cider?) but if you want a nice place to hang out with friends, Finn's might be just the ticket.
