After an absence of several years, I returned to the King's Head and found the service to be very slow, the food less than palatable and the prices very high for the quality and quantity received. This used to be a great place for a decent dinner at a sensible price. My party were seated quickly but our waitress didn't show up to take our drink order for at least 15 minutes and then took almost 30 minutes to return with our drinks and take our food order which took at least 30 minutes to arrive at our table, by then most items that people had ordered were no longer hot, just lukewarm. I had ordered the fish and chips, have to say, I've had tastier out of the frozen food section of my local market.
