Heard about Hattie's on Bobby Flay's show and decided to go check it out. The place has character. It's on a side street and as soon as you walk inside it has this down home comfy feeling. The dining room seemed a bit loud for us, so we asked to be seated in the our door area. It was beautiful and had a great atmosphere. Our server Antoinette was incredible, super sweet without being intrusive. We started with the wings which were delightful. We had the gazpacho, very good flavor with chunks of veggies that made the soup substantial. Didn't quite love the fried chicken. It seemed fresh and healthy, but I guess when I sit at a comfort food place I'm not really looking for healthy. I'd go back since the overall experience was positive and I head the table next door raving about the chicken livers.
