I went here when I came into town on business for a night and just wanted a relaxed night, but with good food. That is exactly what I got. This pub and restaurant is both relaxed and elegant in it’s own fashion. The hardwood floors and trim mixed with the beautiful brick walls give you a feeling of home. While the service is phenomenal and makes you wish your significant other acted in such a manner!
As for anyone who says the British don’t know how to cook, well they obviously have never been to this restaurant. Everything that was passed around tingled my taste buds. The only thing that I can complain about is that it is a little tight and for a tall man such as myself this poses a little discomfort. It is easily worth a little discomfort for the good times and great food the atmosphere and staff create.
A small side note, they have a great beer and wine collection with a top notch bartender. I highly recommend the snake bite; it is a mixed beer drink, and absolutely a different experience when it comes to beers. A specialty item that you wouldn’t experience anywhere else this side of the Atlantic.
The beer is cold and cheap. The food however is somewhat disappointing these days. Many years ago the food was very good but it is cheap and tasteless now. I much prefer El Torito much better food
