Yes, the interior resembles a Village Inn, and it can be a little hard to get to since the intersection is so busy (hint: use the back roads to come up right behind the store), but this is a must-eat place when in Tampa. I just learned that it is a chain, but don't let that stop you. Don Pan has some of the best pastries and breads in Tampa and for ridiculously reasonable prices. The items are Cuban themed, with lots of thick cookies and guava-filled pastries, but they also do sandwiches (get it on an arepa with cheese). Their service is impeccable, and they are very kind if you want to try and practice your Spanish or taste something in the cases.
