Pita Jungle is provably my favorite place to eat. The have something for everyone from almost every region. As far as appetizers go the hummus is phenomenal, even for those that don't like hummus. I have taken several friends and they all raved about it. I personally tend to have the chicken pasta salad most times as my main dish, it's an addiction. Cold pasta and tomato wedges tossed with a lemon sauce and topped with warm broiled chicken. Simple but perfect! I don't know exactly what they do to the chicken but it is so moist and has a wonderful flavor. As for deserts, try the raspberry mango cheesecake or the caramel apple pie; if you have room. This place is near ASU so it is usually busy and kinda noisy but at night it thins out a little and they light candles making it a nice date spot. Give it a shot and you will love it every bit as much as I do.
The Pita Jungle is a healthy and cheap alternative to those late night pizza runs. It features Greek cuisine, which is reflected in their abundance of pitas, meat, and fresh ingredients. My favorite line is the Pita pizzas, which don't seem anything like a traditional pizza, apart from the round shape. They use oil to coat the crust rather than tomato sauce, and forgot traditional toppings like cheese and pepperoni. The Pita Jungle loads on the veggies, from spinach to tomato to peppers. They don't go overboard into cheesy decorating- it's more of a warm, welcoming atmosphere, with a classy piano in the corner. The service is always prompt, and be sure to try the hummus chicken appetizer- it is to die for.
